recruitment service preferably on a limited period,
exclusive basis. Paton Personnel

Executive Search
Upon request by a Client, Paton Personnel
undertakes search assignments on a retained
and exclusive, limited period basis. During this process,
Paton Personnel conducts extensive and accurate
research on appropriate industry players. This research
results in a screened shortlist of recommended candidates,
which is presented to the Client. Paton Personnel,
further, comprehensively facilitates closure between
Candidate and Client.
Response Handling
While many Clients prefer to attract Candidates through
the strength of their own brand, they nevertheless
wish to outsource the screening and initial evaluation
of these Candidates. In these instances Paton
Personnel is able to shortlist top Candidates
according to agreed criteria, facilitating the meeting
by the Client of only the most suitable Candidates.

The approach of Paton Personnel
to the sourcing, screening and placement of Candidates
conforms to two basic principles, namely appropriate
Quality and Accuracy. The salient aspects of the methodology
are as follows:

advertising strategy incorporates regular use of a
variety of leading publications. These include:

Paton Personnel
applies competency-based interviewing methods in the
selection of Candidates.
At least one, preferably two, Paton
Personnel consultants interview each
Candidate. In addition to the competency-based interview,
Candidates are counselled regarding all aspects of
the relevant job specification, as well as a detailed
background of the history and business of the Client,
prior to any interview with a Client. Paton
Personnel verifies pertinent information
contained in the Curricula Vitae of Candidates, including
academic qualifications where necessary, and conducts
credit checks and reference checks with one or more
previous employers.
Once the shortlist of selected Candidates is compiled
by Paton Personnel,
a profile summarizing each selected Candidate’s
core competencies and personal attributes is written
up, and accompanies each of the Curricula Vitae that
are submitted to the Client. The CV format reflects
only information about Candidates pertaining to their
ability to perform in the required position.
Paton Personnel facilitates the interview between
Client and Candidate.
After a successful 1st interview, the balances of
checks are performed, and proof of such checks is
provided upon request.
In the event that the Client requires Psychometric
evaluations, Paton Personnel
facilitates this process. Our supplier uses psychometric
evaluations according to role specialization and the
required skills base. The evaluations are unbiased
in terms of culture, race and gender.
